We were delighted to speak and host an evening workshop at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Management of the Labour Ward course.

June 2019

Our Programmes Director, Maria Booker, spoke on caesarean birth and choice, at Leigh Day’s ‘Women’s Rights in Healthcare’ event.

October 2019

Our Programmes Director, Maria Booker, and Trustee, Carolyn Johnston, will be presenting on Human Rights in Maternity Care at the annual Obstetric Anaesthetists Conference in London on 3rd October. Booking is open to members and non-members.

Birthrights will be holding two workshops in London on 21 October, the first will be on Supporting Women’s Autonomy in Childbirth and the second on Practical Communication skills. These are ticketed events open to all with an interest in maternity care. We will be launching ticket sales soon, email us to be notified when this happens and obtain an early bird rate.

Our Chief Executive, Amy Gibbs, will be leading a Masterclass session on Human Rights in Maternity Care at the RCOG’s ‘Improving Quality of Women’s Health Care’ conference on 31 October.

November 2019

Birthrights will be holding a Supporting Women’s Autonomy in Childbirth workshop in Halifax on 18 November. This is a ticketed event open to all with an interest in maternity care. We will be launching ticket sales soon, email us to be notified when this happens and obtain an early bird rate.

Our Chief Executive, Amy Gibbs, will be speaking at MASIC’s event on consent in childbirth on 28 November.

Birthrights will be speaking on Consent and Birth at the 5th Annual Birth Trauma Conference in London on 22nd January 2020.
