Join Birthrights for an introduction to human rights law and how it can be used as a tool to advocate for safer care and empower women and birthing people to advocate for safe, respectful care. Our session “Human Rights in Maternity Care: helping others navigate the system” will provide an introduction to human rights law and principles and why they matter in pregnancy and childbirth.

Our training equips doctors, midwives and other birth workers with knowledge of the law and human rights principles, an understanding of how to apply it in practice, and the ability to communicate effectively with women and birthing people in a way that upholds their human rights.
