Our impact

Birthrights was founded in 2013 by Elizabeth Prochaska and Rebecca Schiller, and we’re proud of everything we’ve achieved since then.

Year on year, our small charity supports more women and birthing people and trains more healthcare professionals than ever before – all while achieving positive changes to maternity policy and practice, and increasing our focus on those most at risk of poor quality, disrespectful or unsafe care that fails to respect their human rights.
