Operations Manager- Maternity Cover (22.5 hours/three days) – deadline 15th February 2022

Our amazing Operations Manager is leaving Birthrights to have a baby in May. We need a new team member to take on this valuable role over the course of her 12 month maternity leave. We are looking for an highly-organised and experienced operations professional, who is passionate about human rights in maternity care and able to provide exceptional support to the team and Trustees. You will be confident with finances, budgets and line management, with a flexible approach to prioritising a varied and busy workload. This year is a pivotal time for the operations function, as a core plank of Birthrights’ strategy for 2022 24 will be to build our capacity and internal infrastructure, so we can maximise resources, support our team, and grow the scale, impact and equity of our work.

Policy Officer (22.5 hours/three days) – deadline 1st February 2022

We are looking for a deep-thinking, analytical policy or research professional who is passionate about human rights in maternity care to be our new Policy Officer. You will be working on issues such as developing new tools to support consent in maternity care, investigating women and birthing people’s experience of choices and interventions from induction to vaginal examinations, exploring how widespread obstetric violence is in the UK, and responding to consultations on changes to clinical negligence and replacing the Human Rights Act. The role will also involve research, campaigning, advocacy and external relations, also working with the engagement team.

Supporter Engagement Officer (22.5 hours/three days) – deadline 8th February 2022

We need a creative and inspiring fundraiser to be our first ever Supporter Engagement Officer. You will join our growing engagement team, headed up by our Engagement Director, and you will be leading on individual giving, community and events fundraising, including managing the support and stewardship of fundraisers, donors and other supporters. You will also deliver fundraising social media campaigns and engaging, personalised digital communications to motivate and inspire.

Advice Co-ordinator (11.25 hours over two days) – deadline 8th February 2022

For our new Advice Co-ordinator, we need a strong team-player and self-starter who is able to respond to all enquiries coming into the advice service. Our email advice service, which is open to both women/birthing people and healthcare professionals, is a core part of what we do as an organisation. A recent external review of our programmes’ impact has shown that the individuals who contact us hugely appreciate the factual advice they are given about their rights and the empathetic way it is provided.
