Birthrights appoints interim Chief Executive (maternity cover)

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Angela Style as interim Chief Executive, to cover Amy Gibbs’ upcoming maternity leave. Angela will join the team on 2 December and lead Birthrights until Amy returns to work in early September 2020.

Angela has over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector, working for organisations including Diabetes UK, Save the Children, Family and Childcare Trust and, more recently, as Director of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance. She is passionate about women’s health and using campaigning and partnerships to achieve change.

Angela is currently Chair of Endometriosis UK and has previously served as a trustee of the Fawcett Society and Art Against Knives. She gained an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School in 2017. Angela combines her work and volunteering with parenting her two school age children.

The Board of Trustees were thrilled with the volume and quality of applications received for the post and would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply. We have every confidence Angela will take the organisation from strength to strength next year.
